"Brain Fitness" and "Brain Fitness Frontiers" have been "pledge week" programs shown on US Public Broadcasting System (PBS) television stations for several years. The programs present at a high school level the advances of cognitive science and brain neuroscience gains in the last 10+ years. The brain-function improving software programs, "Brain Fitness Sight" and "Brain Fitness Sound," are, in this PI's opinion, over priced if you consider the "dumbing down" of U.S. Americans (and citizens in other countries) by "age" or by "the diminishing qualities of education" is a national health problem. But that price is affordable if you are still in "the middle class. If you are one of the growing numbers of poor people, get 2-3+ poor friends to chip in on the costs of the DVDs, software, and any books involved. Then share them among yourselves. They are worth it.
