http://www.ebrary.com The eBrary digital eBook reader is a plug-in (i.e. a downloaded and added-on bundle of special purpose computer code) for Internet Explorer, FireFox and the other top 5 web browser programs. eBrary.com offers their eBrary plug-in and their eBook web hosting system to educational institutions and departments. At SF State U, the PI's alma-mater, one downloads it from http://0-site.ebrary.com.opac.sfsu.edu/support/plugins/ebraryReader.xpi . And there are other similar URLs to web pages at SFSU which are necessary 'support' web pages for the eBrary system. SFSU IT people needed to install and make available online all of these pages and specialized software so their students and alumni can use these 'fire-walled' digital books.
