Formerly known as The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), the International Baccalaureate (IB) is a non-profit international educational foundation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland founded in 1968. In the 2010s in the USA the IB is inspiring dramatic changes in curricula and teaching techniques in many "poorly performing" high-schools, usually those in poor and minority neighborhoods. The results so far have been a dramatic increase in college-ready graduates from these high schools.
