CCSF pays $5000 to subsidize the wages paid by small business employers to hire and train on-site new employees for several months. Book Picks is such a small business. It has a lending library catalog online and 1+ warehouses of books, from which students and readers of any age can request a book. The book, or books, is shipped to the requester who can retain the book as long as they need it for a small fee. At this writing, 11.04.14, it is premature to guess if Book Picks will gradually increase offering rental and online use of the same material as eBooks as the digital copies become available.
