The USA PBS Newshour program of 12.26.12 presented this story of a 2nd generation, cheap table computer made in India that could make computing and education with computers available to most of the developing and un-developed world. For $20/unit, the Aakash2 would be 1/5-th the price of the $100 target price for the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project based at M.I.T. Since 2000 the OLPC project has managed to place millions of small, durable, wireless child-sized laptops in the hands of individual children and small school in many developing nations.
