To repeat: The eventual convergence of distance learning computer systems, artificially intelligent dynamic learning content generation computer systems, and Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITSes) is inevitable. The convergence is going to happen sooner than later if and when more educators learn what is possible and will become possible "soon" with such technologies.

Such software tools have existed and have been used in "their more primitive forms" by a small number of very priviledged "students" since at least the 1980s within the U.S. military.  They have been used by some other government agencies as well and used in some big corporations' training departments and their "experimental new computer software" departments -- which only these entities could afford in the "earlier days".

There has been a very slow .  "trickle down effect" and evolution of this technology into their uses to serve the ever growing needs of public education and open education that occurs on the Internet.  That "trickling evolution" will happen faster if and when more educators -- especially the computer phobic or computer novice educators --- come to know what can be done with this technology, what to expect, and learn who to push to make educationally appropriate technological innovations happen more quickly that serve their particular needs if and when they use distance learning on the Internet.

Here is how this investigator (and computer technical and computer science friends) think it is going to happen and why.
